I love the fact that there is no disagreement with the NT across major denominations As for the difference in the OT. I liked the way it was discussed. It reminds me what standards were taken for script to be considered cannon. I know the standards can be different depending on denomination

When Nations go to war because of misunderstanding of one word it doesn't make sense that you translate thought for thought but in a litteral word for word. Therefore it was jews that created the messaratic text that changed the words not Greeks

Septuagint has much larger vocabulary than anything that came from it. As you translate into a inferior language you lose meaning and have to settle for words that aren’t quite the same. In general, ancient Greek = 1.5 mill words and Hebrew: 10,000. Hebrew is not ancient. Sorry not sorry. You all got to grow up one day and face the fact that humans struggle with fiction vs non-fiction. I used to be there too don’t worry. At least our imaginations are amazing!

The Septuagint no longer exists. It was only the five Books of Moses. It was destroyed in the fire at the Alexandria Library. Any book that calls itself Septuagint now is a fake. It’s like calling all tissues Kleenex, regardless of the brand.

Dr Infinity was born Vido Aras, in 1947 in Buenos Aires, Argentina to Lithuanian parents. They moved to Montreal before ending up in Boston by the time Vido was aged ten. As a teen, Aras attended a Franciscan monastery for boys of Lithuanian descent, and whilst there he discovered his talent for autofellation. In 1969, he attempted to steal an original Gutenberg Bible from Harvard University's Widener Library. He fell forty feet while trying to leave with the Bible and suffered skull and femur fractures. Once recovered, a court found Aras indigent and committed him to a state mental hospital for observation. Aras' trial started in December 1969 and received coverage in the national and local press. On the second day of his trial, Aras was judged mentally incapable of understanding his actions and charges were dismissed. Aras moved to New York City in the 1970's and as Dr. Infinity, appeared in a few adult films, usually demonstrating his unique skill. He would shoot reels of film of himself in various locations around New York City. He broke into historic buildings and estates to film himself, such as The Rockefeller Estate in Westchester County, where he was arrested for trespassing. During the 1980's, Aras moved to Barcelona, where he died from emphysema in May 2017.

The Septuagint is a mere (mis-) translation of the Hebrew original. Why to even refer to it? Because it holds the very same errors that made people believe in the virgin birth divine mangod. Why? Because it was written and composed by Origen 4th century AD. It is irrelevant and disqualifies itself.

Do people even understand what Masoretic text means? 😂

BE CAREFUL what Bible you read, not all of them are truly CATHOLIC.

I'm interested in people's thoughts about the claims by certain classicists that the Septuagint predates the Hebrew Tora, meaning that the Torah is a Hebrew translation of what was originally ancient Greek. The arguments they make for this, and I don't know enough of either language to check for myself, is that there are colloquialisms in the Torah that are only logical in ancient Greek, meaning that these were direct/rough translations that lost some context from when they were written in ancient Greek. Another is their claim that, because the Hebrew language has only a fraction of the vocabulary that ancient Greek does, certain words were misunderstood and mistranslated, resulting in claims that there were Giants/ nephilim.
